Britain warned the European Union that it preparing to leave the bloc without an agreement and withdrawing from the existing treaty it signed in January. The UK has repeatedly said that it will leave the negotiations if the EU does not moderate its stance, as months of negotiations have so far achieved very little.

On the other hand, EU President Von der Leyen and chief negotiator Barnier warned Britain that its international reputation will be tarnished if they undercut the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement.New talks are due to begin in London later but the main focus this week is on the European Central Bank’s policy decision on Thursday. The pound sat above a two-week low against the euro at 90.13 pence, on course to test the 3-week resistance at 0.90697.
